Church History
The First Church of God in Christ was founded and organized by Elder John C. Robinson and Mabel L. Robinson in Killeen, Texas in October 1983.

The church started with four members consisting of The Pastor’s wife, Mabel and their three children, Tammy, Christopher and Melissa.
The late Mother Bertha Williams who had recently moved to Killeen from Chicago, Illinois was the first member outside of the family.
The First Church of God in Christ, Killeen, Texas was chartered a non-profit cooperation in April 1984.
Because of the rapid growth, the church began having services at West Ward Elementary School, Killeen, Texas.  The membership continued to grow.

In the summer of 1984, the church purchased approximately two acres of land in the 4100 block of Zephyr Road to build a new church.  At this time First Church began having Sunday School and Morning Worship services at the Haynes Elementary School.  All weekly services and auxiliary meetings were held at the home of the Pastor.

The membership continued to grow.  In May, 1987, the church property at East Rancier and Massey Streets was purchased.  Many souls accepted Christ.  The work of the ministry and the membership continued to grow and a larger facility was needed.

In 1997, construction of our new church facility began and was completed in October, 1998. The First Church of God in Christ family travel in a parade by motorcade and by foot to our present-day church facility located at 5201 Westcliff Road, Killeen, Texas.  “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!”

Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written word of God.
We believe that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons:
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the Baptism  of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in the present world.
